A Spark
In my search for good news, I’ve ended up ignoring
the News.
Only when someone shared a celebratory link on
Twitter, did I remember that sometimes newspapers might carry a spark of light.
But in my blinkered search for hope, I’d missed it.
In this increasingly right-wing political landscape,
after numerous failed attempts, Spain just formed a new left-wing coalition
government.
Sparks, however, can trigger a fire or extinguish
themselves a few seconds later. Many sparks lead to nothing, while others
destroy too much. It’s always worth watching them cautiously and waiting for what
happens next.
This article on Jacobin Magazine explains the
sections of the coalition government in detail.
