The Children Are Winning

How many people, like me, rushed to buy the Extinction Rebellion book on Saturday, just after Counter-Terrorism Policing South East listed them as an extremist group? The book actually is a 'handbook', as the cover states. Thirty-five instructive articles to dip in and out of. Generally, on the bus, the toilet throne, or in the hour I still have to wait until my partner comes home for dinner.  

Scaremongering tactics reveal more of those who spread them than their targets. The most prominent voice of the climate crisis is closer than anyone else to the children that Counter-Terrorism is (supposedly) trying to protect. Who do these censors think those kids will listen to in five, six, or ten years, when they’re no longer children and have their first chance to vote? 

The children are winning.
